On the movement of the Gordian Knot

Event details

On Saturday the 8th of January 2022, Lacanian Psychoanalyst Petros Patounas, will be presenting the seminar with the title “On the movement of the Gordian Knot”.

In this seminar Petros Patounas, will discuss and analyse the movements occurring within the Gordian Knot. The Gordian Knot is the term used by him for defining the plasmatic space of the Act, when the subject is proceeding from the Sinthome to the Act and the formation of the Verb of the No-Body. If we assume that, as Patounas says “Desire is structured like an Act,” and that “Desire needs not to be interpreted but to be given a body,” then what are the affects of those truths on the graph of desire? Does the practise itself and the analysand’s encountering with Desire shift, if the psychoanalyst occupies the place of the Monad, of the “at least one who desires?”
