Anxiety marks a particular point where the subject encounters something that escapes the familiar coordinates of meaning. In this seminar, we will explore anxiety through a Lacanian perspective, considering its relation to the Real, desire, the Other, and the object a. We will ask what anxiety reveals about the subject and what becomes possible when we attend to the encounter it announces.

Mira Patouna is a Lacanian psychoanalyst and the first Lacanian psychoanalyst in Serbia. Her psychoanalytic journey began with her own analysis, where she encountered, for the first time, her own voice and the unsaid. This encounter became the foundation of her clinical practice and her ongoing engagement with psychoanalytic theory and research. Her work continues to be guided by questions concerning the unconscious, the return of the repressed, and what emerges at the limits of what can be said.
